Who we are

DoseHero ("DoseHero", "we", "us") is a mobile app for tracking GLP-1 medication doses, weight, body measurements, nutrition, side effects, mood and notes. The app is operated by TheRedArrowApps. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have.

What we collect

No name, no email, no account. DoseHero never asks you to register. On first launch, the app creates an anonymous session and a random ID for your install. We never ask for your real name or email address.

Everything you choose to log is saved to your profile under that anonymous ID:

  • Doses and medication: medication, dose level, date and time, injection site (including custom sites and doses you create) and your schedule.
  • Body data: weight, body measurements, height, goal weight, your journey start date and your unit preferences (kg or lb, cm or in).
  • Nutrition: protein, water and calorie entries.
  • How you feel: side effects, mood, daily check-ins and personal notes.
  • Profile: an optional nickname, your streak count and a setting for whether you share anonymized usage statistics.

During first-run setup, the app also asks a few optional questions, such as sex and age range, to personalize your experience. These answers are also used as anonymized usage statistics (see Analytics).

Device permissions. The app asks only for notification permission, so it can send dose reminders. It never requests access to your contacts, camera, photos or location.

Where your data is stored

  • On your phone first. The app is local-first. What you log is saved to a database on your device and works offline.
  • Synced to our backend. When you're online, your data syncs to a database hosted with Supabase and tied to your anonymous ID. Access is restricted so that each anonymous ID can only reach its own rows.
  • Your anonymous ID follows your Apple or Google account. To bring your data back after a reinstall or on a new phone, the app stores the random ID in your iCloud (key-value storage and Keychain) on iPhone, or in Google's backup services (Block Store and, where enabled, your app-private Google Drive storage) on Android. Only the ID is stored there, never your health data. If you sign in to the same Apple or Google account on a new phone, your data can come back.

We also keep a minimal internal registry of anonymous IDs and their creation dates, which helps us understand how many people use the app. It contains no health data.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymized product-usage statistics, such as which screens are opened, which features are used, whether setup was completed, app version, platform and error reports. Events are linked to your anonymous ID only, never to your name or email. The app is built to refuse sending fields such as names, emails, notes, weight and height to analytics, and it does not use session replay.

Analytics is on by default. It is not sent for the debug and internal test builds we use ourselves, and it respects the "share anonymized data" choice stored on your profile. We don't currently offer a separate in-app switch to change that choice after setup. To opt out, email us at the address below.

Subscriptions and purchases

DoseHero Pro is a paid subscription. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handles payment, so we never see your card number. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and manage your Pro access, and Superwall to display and measure the paywall. They receive your anonymous app ID, purchase and entitlement information, and paywall interaction events so they can unlock Pro for you. You can restore purchases from Settings → Subscription.

Reports and exports

With Pro, you can generate a PDF doctor report. The file is created on your device and is shared only when you choose to share it through your phone's share menu. We don't receive a copy. The PDF includes your personal notes unless you switch that option off.

Deleting your data

Go to Settings → Data → Manage my data → Delete all my data and type "confirm". This removes everything you've logged (doses, weight, check-ins, notes, side effects and nutrition) and your profile from our database and from your phone. You then start fresh, like a new install. It needs an internet connection and can't be undone.

Deleting the app does not delete your online data. If you want it erased, use "Delete all my data" before you delete the app. We keep a minimal registry row (anonymous ID, creation date and a "data deleted" timestamp) with no health data.

How long we keep data

We keep your data for as long as you use the app, so it can sync and be restored. When you delete it using the steps above, it is removed from our database straight away. Our analytics provider retains anonymized events according to its own settings. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep purchase records as required for billing.

We don't sell your data

We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Only the service providers needed to run the app process it: Supabase (storage and sync), PostHog (analytics), RevenueCat and Superwall (subscriptions), and Apple and Google (billing and identity backup).

Children

DoseHero is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help delete the data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
